The 9m Rebel has a reputation as the best Rebel there is. Considering the competition with the other Rebels, particularly the 12m this is a challenge to live up to.
the 9m Rebel is a very seriously nice kite. It is dialed into the sweet things that North Rebels are all about.
Depower unreal, power awsome punch for massive air in big winds.

This kite delivers as expected. The strange question is when do you buy a Rebel 9m? if you live in South Australia you are likely to want a 12m and will ride that from 12 - 28 knots, so why a 9m? Surely a 7m would make more sence.
From experience now with most of the Southcentral Kiteboarders having Rebels we have actually worked out that the cross over from the 12m and the 9m is actually a good thing. The sweetness of the 9m means that at 23 - 24 knots you will dial in your 9 and up to 30 - 33 knots the kite will have you singing sweet nothings to yourself, in a word "offyournut."
Advanced rider should be able to get 18 - 33 knots, the North wind range is about 17 - 34 for Expert riders and this would be dependant on conditions? Waves more fun in less wind, big air you will want more wind.
Essentially the top end of this kite is serious arse wind, I have flown it in 30 knots and it was sweet as, remembering that in the old C kite days I always rode 3m less kite than everyone else. In this wind the kite was comfortable, this is where for me the 12m starts to top out for comfort and the 9m is honey. A 12m and a 9m makes sense and will have most kiters ampometre.

Hook up the arc welder boys this one sparks.

How to hook up your new 9m Rebel:
We have found that the best set up is to have the steering lines hooked up with the knots as factory but the leaders on the bar back (see photo here).

Kite turning speed:
dial in what you want, change the bar setting from inside to outside in 2 minutes. (Result lighter steering)

Change the steering line settings from Bow to C kite (see owner manual) this takes 2 minutes. (lighter quicker steering or more bow feel)

the kite turns as quick as you want, or is fine for wake tricks and intermediates if required

Bar pressure
As above what ever you want, the simple trick after that is to pull in the depower line as wind increases as this allows for a nice comfortable position with the bar, or as wind drops let it out. The goal being to keep the bar in the position you want as it will sit there as you wish, if you want boost power just pull that baby in and feel the boost.

Boost:
Total rocket G force

Simple, get one, super kite, so nice, this kite is without question a jet wing on flying lines.

Amp dial: major arc out!
Move knots to rear setting on leader end where flying lines connect
Factory setting (furthest from bar)
